Mockingjay, by Suzanne Collins, was the third and final book in The Hunger Games Trilogy. I’d say it was a pretty good ending to the series. I’m not a big fan of giving spoilers, but I was constantly on the edge of my seat. I was really upset when one character died, and excited when Katniss went on stage for her own personal death. I will say the one thing I’m really not a fan of was the ending, which in my eyes is probably one of the most important parts to making or breaking a trilogy. She rushed it a bit, and you never find out what happens with certain characters like Gale. It was kind of like, action! action! action! the end, with not buffer information.
What do you think about it?

It’s you’re first year Prim, you’re name’s only in their once, they’re not going to pick you.

The Hunger Games was probably the BEST book to movie transformation I have ever witnessed. While it did miss a few parts — I’d say the biggest being the Mayor’s daughter since that could potentially ruin the sequels — It was nothing SO MAJOR that I would say “this ruined it, it’s nothing like the book.” I was so satisfied, and I honestly can’t stop thinking/talking about it. 5/5 Stars for the actors/actresses and the makes of the Hunger Games, for really using the book to make the movie this time. Amazing.

The Hunger Games by Suzanne Collins. Set in a future where the Capitol selects a boy and girl from each of the twelve districts to fight to the death on live television. Katniss Everdeen bravely volunteers to take her younger sister’s place for the latest match, and Peeta Mellark is chosen. I was fascinated by all the politics behind the society. I definitely liked Katniss, but I felt the ending was very predictable. I don’t like to give away any plot points, and the quotes show the style of the writing. I am very excited for the movie though.

Next Up: Catching Fire by Suzanne Collins
For a moment, I’m almost foolishly happy and then confusion sweeps over me. Because we’re supposed to be making up this stuff, playing at be in love, not actually being in love. But Peeta’s story has a ring of truth to it.
This is the first kiss that we’re both fully aware of. Neither of us hobbled by sickness or pain or simply unconscious. Our lips neither burning with fever or ice cold. this is the first kiss where I actually feel stirring inside my chest. Warm and curious. This is the first kiss that makes me want another.
I fumble. I’m not as smooth with words as Peeta. And while I was talking, the idea of actually losing Peeta hit me again and I realized how much I don’t want him to die. And it’s not about the sponsors. And it’s not about what will happen back at home. And it’s not just that I don’t want to be alone. It’s him. I do not want to lose the boy with the bread.
He’s just stubborn enough and maybe just strong enough to do it.
Unlike the staged kisses and caresses so far, this gesture seems natural and comforting. I don’t want him to stop and he doesn’t.
